I’m in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana it is love. And it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.
― John Steinbeck, Travels with Charley: In Search of America

Montana Sky Lodge is located in SouthWest Montana which has some of the highest quality natural trout streams in the US, including the Ruby River, the Big Hole River and the Beaverhead River. These rivers are known for some of the finest fly fishing around. In addition we have a plethora of Lakes to Fish! Come Visit.

Come winter, comes the snow. We are lucky enough to be situate near Discovery Ski Resort. Discovery has three faces. The front face is the perfect blend of gently sloping runs and more advanced groomed cruisers. Off the Granite Chair, things step up a notch with steeper groomed runs and mogul skiing. And the backside? Well, imagine the Chugach without the costly helicopter ride. Point is, we have great terrain and lots of it. No matter what kind of mountain you like, you just discovered it.

Montana is a fascinating montage to Native American heritage, Wild West pioneering and natural beauty. Few places in the US feel as wild as this state, where grizzly bears are common in the wilderness and big cities feel like small towns. The mix of cowboy culture and outdoor recreation creates a fun destination for anyone with an interest in the great outdoors. You’ll be warmly welcomed in Montana if you come with an eager respect for the state’s immense natural endowment and hearty appetite for adventure.

“Extraordinary Glimpse of Tranquility at its Best!”

What an amazing experience!
The entire experience was incredible! The property owners offered exceptional hospitality and were available to direct us to the local interest throughout our stay which was very much appreciated. We were looking for a beautiful place to relax and rejuvenate for a few days. The lodge accommodations were clean, comfortable, cozy and intimate and the ambiance had a warm inviting presence throughout. We immersed ourselves in the property as the amentities fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the state of the art kitchen where we spent many days preparing gourmet meals sharing in the dining experience with friends and indulging ourselves in the serene surroundings.
I felt like I had truly been on the most relaxing vacation of my life where I was able to cherish each moment of each day. We discovered a new vacation spot and we will definitely be back.
Thanks for the wonderful memories!
